“The Emancipation of Greg Freeman simply means finding some inner peace through a cathartic
musical journey. I started playing piano at the early age of 9 yrs.old. I participated in piano concerts
at the DIA only to have my ambitions thwarted by a prejudice step father.
Not being allowed to receive piano lessons from my german instructer,I continued on a
mission to teach myself as best I could through observation and osmosis.Eventually
mimicking those I liked as artist. To me the piano is the most expressive instrument
because it is percussive, melodic and harmonic. My favorite song on the CD is
SUMMER DREAMS.I have always been a dreamer and an incurable romantic.
SUMMER DREAMS takes me back to a kinder, gentler time when I was full of
Romanticism and hope. When families and friends spent more quality time together and
romance always blossomed in the spring. Mostly it was the sounds of happy children
playing in the streets and the smells of all kinds of neighborly cuisine. People weren't in
such a hurry about everything and the summers seemed so long and wonderful.” - Greg Freeman
